I heard that Trump Toronto is now under construction. Is this true?

Construction is nearly complete and in fact, the hotel opened on January 31, 2012. The ground breaking event was held in October 2007 (click here for link to ground breaking video) and excavation work began soon after. Completion of the building is expected in early 2013. If you register with Trump® Toronto we will keep you updated with construction progress as the building grows.

What type of return on my investment can I expect when I own a hotel condominium suite at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto®?

Ownership at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® is not considered a guaranteed investment program. However, other Trump International properties have historically had substantial equity growth as well as a very competitive return on investment.

Is a condominium suite at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® considered a commercial or residential property?

The hotel suites are deemed to be commercial property. What that means to you as an owner is that there are intrinsic tax benefits associated with owning a commercial property. For example, the furnishings and fixtures depreciate at an accelerated rate compared to the building structure, which depreciates at a slower rate. Expenses can also be written off in whole or in part. Please consult with your accountant or attorney for specific details.
