It has been one month since Donald Trump and his family joined Talon International Development Inc., in Toronto for the much anticipated ribbon cutting ceremony at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto®. The events of the day sent Toronto’s media into a frenzy searching for the best paparazzi-perfect pictures.

Mr. Trump and his family arrived in Toronto for the Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® ribbon cutting ceremony on the morning of April 17.
Mr. Trump toured the building with Talon International Development Inc. chairman Alex Shnaider and CEO Val Levitan and made a stop on the 31st floor in STOCK™ Restaurant Bar & Lounge.
Elated, the Talon and Trump teams cut the ceremonial red ribbon together. The Trump family was all smiles as they celebrated the magnificent building.

Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® has been recognized as the most prestigious residential building in Canada for years and after its Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, Toronto and the international community officially understand why. With every detail carefully considered the entire building radiates sophistication and luxury, just as it was intended.
As might be expected, it took a number of years to construct and furnish the magnificent tower that is Trump® Toronto. A thoughtful look in the rear view mirror offers a reminder of its initial construction stages and a few of its milestones along the way.
In October 2007, the Talon International Development Inc. team hosted Donald Trump for the tower’s ground breaking ceremony. In the heart of Toronto’s Financial District, Mr. Trump with Val Levitan and Alex Schnaider of Talon International used gold plated shovels to break ground at the build site. This was a historic occasion for Trump® Toronto as construction then began on the tallest residential building in Canada.
During this time Mr. Trump commented on the expected finish product, foreshadowing its ultimate grandeur. “When you buy in Trump tower you’re going to have something very special … You’re going to have something that’s never been done in Canada before. It’s got the quality.”
And as promised, the highest standard of quality ties the building together, inside and out.
In 2009, II BY IV, the award-winning interior design firm contracted by Talon International, finalized Trump® Toronto’s exquisite décor. II BY IV partner Dan Menchions described the design as a blending of caviar and champagne; caviar being inspiration for the tower’s dark drama while champagne was expressed throughout the residences. “We used the theme throughout the entire development,” Menchions said.
A significant milestone had once again been reached as the building’s interior design was finalized. Move-in luxury, warm international flavours and an intimate décor as had never been seen before.
Following suit, the highest standard of quality was incorporated into the tower’s exterior. Custom designed and manufactured overseas, the building’s façade is a curtain wall made of granite, aluminum and glass. Although this feature proved challenging during its installation, it provides a safe environment for residents and guests.
A curtain wall is a rare component in Canadian residential buildings. The wall’s completion marked a landmark for Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto®. The brilliant building now leaves its prominent signature, Trump® Toronto, across the city’s skyline.
Moments of expert planning and skilled labour during the tower’s meticulous construction were countless. Each moment led to the building’s ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony on April 16, 2012.
Mirroring October 2007, the Talon International Development Inc. hosted Donald Trump along with his daughter Ivanka and sons Donald Jr., and Eric Trump. Using golden scissors, the Trump family and Talon International team cut the red ribbon marking its official opening.
It was a historic day in the operations of Trump® Toronto and onlookers across the world.

To much anticipation, the ceremonial red ribbon was cut Monday at Trump International Hotel & Tower Toronto® by the Trump family and Talon International Development Inc. in honour of its grand opening.
Donald Trump and his family, Ivanka, Donald Jr., and Eric made their grand entrance to the building’s lobby at the corner of Bay and Adelaide in an elite convoy of perfectly polished, black Escalades at 10a.m.
A media frenzy ensued capturing the Trumps’ smiles and waves as they warmly greeted all in
attendance during the first moments of the big day’s events.

Led on a tour of the building’s acclaimed amenities and deluxe model suites, the Trump family viewed the prestigious residences located within the 65-story building. These residences boast stunning views that can only be seen from Trump® Toronto and will ultimately house the most exclusive, who’s-who of the city. With each detail exuding luxury, the residences of Trump® Toronto are the most extravagant in their kind.
While the surrounding streets were abuzz with paparazzi and captivated onlookers, Mr. Trump and Alex Schnaider and Val Levitan of the Talon International Development team were presented with commemorative jerseys from the Toronto Maple Leafs', John-Michael Liles and Toronto Blue Jays' JP Arencibia in celebration of the momentous day.
Following a few words from Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, the Trump family and Talon International Development team suitably cut the thick, crimson red ribbon with golden scissors, similar to the golden shovels used when ground was first broken on the building in 2007.
